foresters-hall

Forrester Hall, Cowes

Foresters Hall (previously known as North House) is a Grade II listed townhouse located in the heart of Cowes Old Town.

The Hotel was rebranded Foresters Hall in October, 2022. The name change draws on the Hotel property’s long heritage as a celebrated meeting place in Cowes. Foresters Hall was originally constructed in 1865 as a monthly meeting hall for the Cowes branch of the Ancient Order of Foresters. By the 1890’s the Cowes branch was the largest in the UK with over 2,000 members. As time went by and the number of foresters diminished on the Isle of Wight, the building’s original function became obsolete and it was merged into the Hotel.

The sun-drenched outdoor terrace at Foresters Hall is a delightful spot to unwind with a drink and food from the casual dining menu. Featuring a variety of beverages, from local gins to expertly crafted garden to glass cocktails and an award-winning wine list with two dozen wines by the glass, the bar and terrace cater to all tastes. The cocktail bar’s cozy ambiance, with comfortable seating and elegant decor, makes it an ideal place for a drink before or after your meal, or make the bar the evening’s destination and enjoy delicious food from our casual dining menu freshly prepared in our kitchen using locally sourced ingredients.
